Day 24: Day 23 Sunset, Phelps Lake Hike and Ensconced at Spring Creek Ranch!
The sunset last night was so pretty I had to add it here. Alpenglow on The Grand and wonderful skies.
We moved on this morning from Grand Teton National Park to Jackson, WY. On the way, after we exited the Park, we hiked the overlook to Phelps Lake, down to the Death Canyon Trail and a bit on the South Side of Phelps Lake. It was very pretty. The Canyon was a more sparse beautiful, with fir trees that must have been 90 ft. tall.
Some sad news is that there is a serious wildfire in Yellowstone. We saw the smoke localized yesterday when we were on Jackson Lake kayaking and this morning woke up to lots of haze in the air. We have heard of road closures that created drives of 10-12 extra hours. Here is a photo of Mt. Moran in the haze.
As stated prior, we are now ensconced in the Spring Creek Ranch. It is very nice. The views are phenomenal, as is the shower, the robes, the lotions, the fireplace, the TV, the WIFI CONNECTION, the in-room refrigerator, the balcony, the coffee maker, and the soft soft roomy bed!
(Can you tell I've been in an RV for several days!!!)
Ahhhhh, comfort!!!

That looks and sounds heavenly😊
