Day 22: Two Oceans Lake and Grand View Point

The first part of our hike today was to Two Oceans Lake. We left early enough so that the water on the lake was calm, still and held beautiful reflections. We could see several of the Tetons as we circled. This is bear country given it is in an area of the Park that doesn't get much traffic, so we each carried bear spray and kept announcing ourselves to any potential bears by saying "Hey Bear"!  We made enough noise to scare them all away. Whew!

Midway through the Two Oceans Lake Loop is an offshoot trail called Grand View Point. One mile to the top and 550 ft elevation gain. Not easy but not too bad either. Of course we did it and were not disappointed. One vista showed all the Tetons in all their glory with Jackson Lake in the foreground, and the other vista showed Two Oceans Lake plus another nearby lake. You could see for miles. It was fantastic.

Update on total miles hiked so far: 86.5!

We two cowboys are signing off...E HA! (no we didn't ride anywhere, we just saw these people and took their picture)!
