Day 17: Gazer Day!

Remember a few days ago when I mentioned the Geyser Gazers, and I thought Rick and I would never have to worry about becoming like them..... well, yesterday we Gazed at Geysers all day long! We started with Old Faithful. We arrived just after it erupted (of course) so we hung around and waited.

There were a few false starts.......

We were not alone.....

And then it happened!

After the excitement was over, we walked all through the Lower Geyser Basin and saw more and more crazy-looking and crazy-acting geysers. Here are our favorites. And yes, we now have favorites!

We stayed the night at the Old Faithful Inn. Only one wing was open bc of Covid. All the food in all the parks have been carry-out only, and usually only from one location. Everyone seems to be complying with the mask mandate whenever they are around people. That includes hiking. You can see how Rick and I usually look above!  We didn't get to see the historic lobby of the Inn (closed bc of Covid) but we were able to see Old Faithful erupt 3 times!

So-long from your Geyser-Gazing friends, Jeanne and Rick (at least for a day)!
