Day 10: Fly Fishing on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River

Today we changed things up a bit. Our legs needed a break. So we went fly fishing on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River. Rick, as Oscar Beck says is a 'professional fisherman' and Jeanne is NOT!!! But, I tried to learn the cast, the mending of the line, the hook setting and the reeling in!  I caught one with Rick catching many more!  Thank you Ross, our great fishing guide. They were small fish, Cutthroat, and it was hard to feel them hit. (Assessment: RWG, Professional Fisherman). The float down the river was gorgeous. The water was crystal clear! Enjoy !

  1. Stunning! It's a good thing you were with, as Oscar so aptly put it, a professional fisherman! It is really fun following your big adventure!!
